King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center (KAPSARC) was founded as a non-profit institution to advance Saudi Arabia’s energy sector and inform global policies through evidence-based advice and applied research. It brings together a national and international group of experts and consultants to maximize the economic impact of the energy sector.

KAPSARC fulfills its mission by providing advice to the Saudi energy sector by leveraging its analytical capabilities and expertise and also by producing internationally recognized applied research, tools, and data to impact global policymaking. The consulting department performs and manages engagements with stakeholders in the energy sector through leveraging KAPSARC’s distinctive thought leadership, expertise, solutions, and strategic partnerships. This department aims to be the trusted partner for making a lasting positive impact in the energy sector of Saudi Arabia.

The consulting department has several openings for high-caliber professionals who have consulting experience & the ambition to build up their knowledge on energy & sustainability topics.

 

 

Manager:

 

Responsibilities

 

• Deliver successful engagements through managing diverse projects with multi-disciplinary and integrated teams in complex analysis and problem-solving including problem structuring, analytical techniques, synthesis, and client implication.
• Lead internal and external business development and develop new service offerings and thought leadership initiatives.
• Manage key client and stakeholder’s expectations to build and foster long-term relationships
• Participate and lead aspects of the proposal development process.
• Assist stakeholders in sustainability and energy through policy development, regulatory reform, and service provision.
• Display leadership and business judgment in anticipating client/project needs and developing alternative solutions.
• Contribute to key building initiatives and activities (e.g. involvement in Practice/Capability Areas, knowledge building efforts, mentoring, recruiting, and training).

 

Qualifications

 

• 9-12 years of relevant consulting or industry experience.
• Bachelor's degree: higher degree is preferred (MSc or MBA).
• Strong background in strategic problem solving with demonstrable analytical skills.
• Experience with advanced research, and analysis expertise, including energy-related markets, economic and financial analysis, and drafting business briefings.
• A team player and a proven leader with the ability to inspire others.
• Significant experience in consultancy.
• Fluent in English (Arabic is not required but is preferred)

 

 

Director:

 

Responsibilities

• Lead internal and external business development and develop new service offerings and thought leadership initiatives.
• Manage key client and stakeholder’s expectations to build and foster long-term relationships
• Act as a ‘player coach’, especially initially, overseeing our consulting function but also driving the execution of key consulting activities.
• Interact internally and externally with executive management involving negotiation of difficult matters to influence policy.
• Display leadership and business judgment in anticipating client/project needs and developing alternative solutions.
• Contribute to key building initiatives and activities (e.g. involvement in Practice/Capability Areas, knowledge building efforts, mentoring, recruiting, and training).

 

Qulaifications

 

• 13+ years of relevant consulting or industry experience
• Bachelor's degree: higher degree is preferred (MSc or MBA).
• Strong background in strategic problem solving with demonstrable analytical skills.
• Advanced technical skills, functional knowledge, client consultative skills and operational management experience.
• A team player and a proven leader with the ability to inspire others.
• Significant experience in consultancy and client engagement.
• Fluent in English (Arabic is not required but is preferred)
