Academic Researcher

Job Description 

The Academic Researcher will engage in cutting-edge research and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in the dynamic fields of Economics, Public Policy, or Statistics and Data Science. Through hands-on engagement in novel research projects, Academic Researchers work alongside esteemed scholars and industry experts, gaining valuable insights and expanding their intellectual horizons. Additionally, Academic Researchers will enhance their teaching skills by actively participating in the educational activities at KSPP, which is home to a highly talented group of graduate students.

Major Accountabilities

•    Conduct research on novel research projects in Economics, Public Policy, or Statistics and Data Science (or related field)
•    Collaborate cross-functionally with an interdisciplinary team of scholars and industry experts
•    Support teaching and educational activities at KSPP, engaging with graduate students
•    Develop professionally by applying and expanding research and teaching skills through hands-on involvement in research projects

Qualifications and Experience

•    Applicants should have obtained or are close to obtaining a PhD in Economics, Public Policy, Statistics and Data Science or a related field
•    Demonstrated expertise in independent research, quantitative methods, qualitative methods, hybrid models, and/or relevant software tools and datasets
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.
